This week, it was a photoshoot that was about something I crave. Especially this week, when I feel so trapped. How did we all represent freedom this photoshoot?
The Bride:
The Bride:
Bella: What a great photo! I love the gothic setting and that car reminds of the car out of that old Stephen King movie. You look as though you have thrown off the shackles of marriage and are ready to take your fate into your own hands! Your posing is strong and you look tough albeit a little dead in the face.. Otherwise krem letich!
Celine: I do think this week was going to be a little hard for you and you've exceeded my expectations here. I love your hair (always a major focal point when it comes to you) as your hair looks very free in this shot. You've also ditched the tight, more restricting clothes you normally have. My only criticism is that it doesn't feel like you in the shot. Although, I could still see this as an evolution of your character, so in the end, it still works.
Fyora: I would've never thought of freedom in such a manner, and it's a manner that's fitting for you, dear Bride. Love the fashion, the accessories, and I don't think the face is dead, I think it shows attitude. It definitely looks like a character growth freedom shot.
Emma Frost:
Bella: Uhh shamoo ralla poo, I don't know about this photo it's a little cheesy and instead of looking free you look fake as though that smile has been permanently frozen onto your face! The one redeeming feature of this photo is your outfit- it's very fredesche.
Celine: A problem we've had with a couple of your shots this game have been that you've had fantastic modeling shots, but the theme wasn't as strongly represented. This week, we have the opposite problem. This shot does easily meet the theme of the week, but it's come a bit at the expense of the modeling. It's a unique pose, but you do look a lot more juvenile than we're used to seeing from you.
Bella: There's a way that would've been stronger to go here for this theme, even from the same artist. It's completely unexpected from what I know of Emma Frost, and could be fitting, a hidden desire to be an ice dancer. I think it's sound in both modelling, and fashion, but it lacks the wow factor I'd like to see at this stage in the competition.
Harley Quinn:
Bella: This is a great representation of your character and what it means to be free to her. Harley is a dark and chaotic force and here we see her where she feels the most alive- right in the middle of the carnage. Love it, and za woka genava
Celine: I figured this week would be easy for you since Harley is already so free. However, it might have been a bit harder to wow me since I did expect it from you. I'm really fond of this shot and it's showing Harley doing what she naturally does. I like the dark playfulness of the shot, but the modeling could have been a bit stronger. Still solid work, though.
Fyora: I see your interpretation of freedom here, Harley. But I have a qualm with the modelling content here. You're looking a bit fat, and I don't mean curvy, full bodied, I mean fat. Your face is also carrying a lot of that weight. It's not really a good angle for you.
Peach:
Bella: This is a lovely shot and regardless of your past actions you look as fresh as a new daisy ( I'm not sure if you would smell like one though ) and as free as the wind. This picture is vibrant and alive with the energy and freedom of youth. Well done!
Celine: You took a slightly different path than the others, but still have reached the Freedom aspect of the week. While other models have Freedom represented in the feeling of the shot, you decided to focus on a story as your aspect of Freedom (even though there's still a sense of Freedom in the vibe of the shot). I like the time and thought you put into that. The proportions of your head (mainly around the bangs and face) are a little off and you look a little anorexic with how thin your arms are, but other than that, I like the way this picture is done. There's nice detail and great color contrast along with a nice sense of freedom.
Fyora: This is more what I expected when I said freedom. It's light, happy-go-lucky and cute. However, the chibi artstyle doesn't really do any favours here. It does make you look deformed and disproportionate.
Toph:
Bella: This is a charming little photo and I love the symbolism of the bird being released from the cage and the fact that you have shown yourself in childhood, a time when many of us have felt the most free.
Celine: I have to steal Bella's word when describing this shot: it's charming. It does remind me of the style of art you'd find in a children's book. There's a definite sense of freedom here, but I think it's coming a bit at the expense of modeling value. There's a nice sense of art to the photo as the style can clearly be something that is paying homage, though.
Fyora: It is charming, but not really what I'm expecting at this end of the competition. I'm expecting a bit more. Clearly, we can see freedom, but as Celine notes, it's come at an expense.
