We're back on track, with all three judges ranking and judging promptly. We were looking for a basic beauty shot once again this photoshoot.
Fyora: I think you look very beautiful, and it's haunting.
It's a sound beauty shot, but I feel the "basic" element is missing.
There's a little bit too much ambience in the picture for it to fully be
a basic beauty shot.
Bella: I really like this photo, ooh be gah, it's hauntingly beautiful. Well done once again!
Celine: I'm going to have to echo the other judges
when I comment on the haunting beauty of this photo. It's really quite
wonderful. There is a little too much effect in the photo, but it's not
that big of a deal cause this is just a fantastic beauty shot. Well done
Fyora: There is a heck of a lot going on around you,
Cinderella. And it's taking a lot away from the beauty shot. It
shouldn't be too hard to find that picture, or the HQ full version, and
crop it. It's really the downfall of this picture.
Bella: This photo is lovely! You look very pretty and
youthful, I love your updo and your sparkly accessories are just
gorgeous! If I could find any fault, it may be that there is too much
going on in the background and that could be distracting. Otherwise,
well done Miss Cinderella! Elicanto!
Celine: There is a bit much going on around you, but you're still the
focus here. It's a very nicely styled shot of you, but it looks very
slightly grainy. That's just being nit-picky though.
Bella: Sul sul Miss Frost! I would have said that I loved
this photo, but your mouth is parted in such a way that it looks as
though the photo was taken mid conversation, and your eyes aren't really
connecting with the camera instead are looking away as though you are
looking at the person you may have been talking to.. if your mouth was a
little more closed and your eyes were looking at me this would have
been a lovely photo!
Fyora: I think Bella must be glitching. I don't see what
she's seeing. Your eyes are beautiful, and vibrant. I love the mouth. It
does look candid, but I think it works to be very relaxed. I really
like this one.
Celine: Ok, so I would have preferred a closed
mouth here, but that's really the only critical thing I have to say
about the photo. It's a beautiful shot, the background is bare, so
there's nothing competing with you for the attention here, and it's just
a really solid beauty shot.
Fyora: It's a little too close up, and your psychic knife
is ruining it a little bit. Your features are beautiful, but really,
really. Too close up.
Bella: Psylocke! I totally agree this is a captivating photo, it's definitely one of my favourites I love love love it!
Celine: You were right in stating that you were focusing on Psylocke's eyes here
cause that's definitely the first thing I noticed. It is a little too
close up, but it's still a great shot of her face. Nothing stands out as
being off with any of your features.
Fyora: I think this is probably too close up to be a very
good beauty shot. There's a way to model a basic beauty shot with a
mask, and I don't think this is it. The angle is not good for displaying
your features, and the clothing is a bit much.
Bella: Sul sul! This is a very nice photo of you Miss
Harley. You look beautiful and intriguing and mysterious and even though
you are still wearing a mask it does not detract from the appeal of
this photo. Good job again!
Celine: It's a nice angle you're giving us here,
but I'm not sure I fully like the facial expression. It looks slightly
too low-class sexual to me. However, you still look beautiful in it, it
meets all the criteria for the shoot, and it's a basic shot without a
distracting background.
Fyora: When I said basic beauty, I did mean the entire picture, not just no
makeup. The fire of the Phoenix is really bringing that down.
I
don't mind the "up your nose" pose, because it gives an aura of
cockiness and power. Much like the Phoenix has. Your hair also nicely
shapes the face.
Bella: Frabbit, this would have been a really strong photo
if only the camera wasn't looking up your nose! A slight adjustment
with the angle of this shot and it would have been so powerful because I
love the strength and confidence in your eyes.
Celine: I like the power you exude in this shot. Like Bella, I'm not the
biggest fan of the angle of your nose and like Fyora, the Phoenix in
the background isn't my favorite thing to see in this shoot, but I do
like the rest of the photo. The vibe you are giving off is excellent and
I love the level of detail given to your hair.
let our host deal with what penalties you may or may not incur from the
level of lateness. We asked for a basic beauty shot and you definitely
gave us what we were looking for. It's a very cute shot of you and the
shot is of nothing but you, so that's a big plus. I really wish it would
have been in color, though. I think that could have added an extra
element to your photo.
Bella: I wish this photo was focused more on your face and if it was in colour it definitely would have given it more impact.
Fyora: It's too far zoomed out to be a great beauty shot. It shows a lot of
personality. Unlike some others, I actually know what happened to your
other eye.
It's good, but not great.
Fyora: There is too much going on! I feel like a broken
record with how many people I've critiqued this today. Too much bling,
and it's not a good angle. Once again, you have NO NECK! Storm, I am very disappointed.
Bella: This a really beautiful photo Storm, it conveys a
softness I haven't seen before in you and I love your dreamy expression.
Lovely work krem letich!
Celine: The excessive use of the streams of light is a bit distracting
here. The angles here also look really off to me. Your body language
makes me feel like you are facing left, while head head is coming in at
an angle from the right. Your skin and lips are nice here, but I'm
having trouble with the rest of the shot.
Fyora: Peach, my dear. Mullets went out of fashion two
decades ago (Why they were even in fashion in the first place is really
confusing). Contrariwise to the some of the other contestants, you're
too far away. We need you to be closer to fully appreciate your face.
Bella: Peeeach! It's ok but I don't really like your hair
and I wish this photo focused more on your face. However you do look
suitably regal. Gerbit.
Celine: I have to echo the sentiments of the other
judges when I say that I really do not like your hair here. Your eyes
are beautiful here and I appreciate the lack of extras in the
background, especially since a lot of the other contestants missed that
part.
Fyora: You lost an eye? Well, that's not very beautiful.
In a beauty shot, you're not meant to hide your features. Your face
looks like it's kind of melting off, or maybe your mouth is just
misplaced. Still, it's a beauty shot. We need to see both eyes (opened
or closed), unless it's in profile.
Bella: Frooo this is dark and sexy I love it!! Great work I hope to see more pictures like this from you! Jamoo!
Celine: I love your hair in this shot, but the lack
of an eye is a little distracting. I don't mind the brushing technique
used in this photo, so you don't look like you're "melting" to me. I
would have liked a little more openness from you in this shot since it
was a beauty shot, but it's still a solid effort.
Fyora: I wish the hair wasn't all over your face. In a beauty shot, we want to see more of the face. Otherwise, I'm liking this one.
Bella: This is a beautiful photo Toph, I love how your big
green eyes are peaking out from under your long fringe, they draw you
in straight away. It's mesmerising! Good job I'm so pleased with
everyone this week!
Celine: A little more openness from your face would
have been nice here, but I do like the little whimsy of your face
peeking out from behind your bangs. Love the eyes and overall this is a
solid shot.
The Bride:
Fyora: I think you look very beautiful, and it's haunting.
