Sorry for the wait! Busy time for all of us still! So without any further ado.
Balding Brutes:
Vin:
Janice: This was an unplanned photoshoot, and I don't know if anyone knows this, but when I do an unplanned photoshoot, I make sure everyone has something to use. For you I think a movie poster may have been better. For example, Babylon A.D... This photoshoot is an opportunity to throw out the basic things judges usually look for in modelling ORGs, like face and eye contact.
For this picture, I'm not sold on it. We have the angle, the shadows and the quality working against you here. I'm not sold on it at all, unfortunately.
Morgan: When I first saw this photo I immediately was wishing for something more. The concept of using your body as art is intriguing and with better posing it could have worked but here not so much. Your tattoos look fake (are they?) and the facial expression is too "duck face" like something you would see in a Facebook photo. To me this photo looks like a sexy photo gone wrong, sorry.
Noel: You interpreted the theme in a manner that I feel was different than intended, but still fits. I feel like we wanted an artistic shot while you gave us a shot that featured body art. Personally, I love tattoos, but I'm not that thrilled with this shot. I feel like Morgan nailed it when he said it feels like a Facebook photo. Not loving the glare on your face this round, either.
Coven:
Medusa:
Janice: Medusa, Medusa I love it. Everything in this picture works together very well. I love how the hair looks, and the overall eye-catching nature. If there is something I don't like, it's actually the expression. Though it does bring an extra emotion to this picture, I think it could be better with a neutral expression.
Noel: I feel like this is the most interesting shot we're seeing this round, so you definitely have that going for you. I love what's going on with the snakes on your head. Not sure I fully understand what's going on with her mouth, but I like the visual impact all the lines create and even in the seeming randomness of some of them, they all feel like they have purpose. I think you are fortunate to have had your fictional character left for this shoot as I feel it's probably easier to find artistic shot with the fictional characters, but that doesn't detract from this being a strong photo.
Morgan: Stunning in so many aspects. I love the cross between gore symbolism and fashion. The blood flowing from your cut throat forms a fashionable top with strings and the pile of snakes on your head looks like a remarkable headpiece. Modelling wise I enjoy the angles in your shoulders, however the shadow over your face steals emotion and facial detail however the symbolic nature of this shadow has powerful effects also. You have incorporated the theme of artistic well into your photo as well as covering fashion and modelling elements a photo well done.
Team Curious:
Chloe:
Janice: I think this looks like a beautiful painting, it's definitely artistic. Perhaps a bit overworked, but I can forgive that. I really like the eye-shadow too. But this does show me there's something a bit wrong with your nose. One nostril is bigger than the other!
Noel: I'll be honest, it's not my favorite shot of you. There's something about this that feels awkward and uncomfortable. I can see artistic merit in it, but maybe it's because of how constricting it feels around your face that is turning me off a bit. I do like how your makeup compliments the flowers around your head, though. Your outfit looks nice, but also feels a little washed out by the lighting, so we don't get the full effect of it.
Morgan: That headpiece of yours has a high visual impact, its unique, different and even though I know its not your own hair or sewn into your hair that grey tuff at the top almost acts like a trigger for a visual illusion. Long story short, the headpiece actually looks like a part of you in my opinion. You look a little hazy in the face as if you are feeling unwell, the lighting and perhaps the shaping of your headpiece is making your face appear quite flat without much bone structure. Artistically this photo has merit however it would have been better with more of a modelling contribution.
Heart Attack:
Sui:
Janice: This is very dramatic. I love the pose, and the face, and the dress. It works very well together, and it really makes your eyes dart around. It does look a little overworked in photoshop, and you look superimposed in the picture, but that's just an aesthetic criticism. Overall, I like this a lot.
Morgan: Ooh I sense a supernatural vibe going on here like you are a mind controlling wizard that can affect elements in your environment. Your posing is very strong and as Janice said 'dramatic.' I find your dress to look a little unnatural here, the contours of the dress seem to be photoshopped or maybe you have been placed into the environment. Even if so a connection to you and your surroundings has been made through your modelling.
Noel: I don't feel like you were superimposed in the shot. I love the strong lines you're giving us, the contrast between the colors in the shot, and the overall drama we get from you in this shot. I feel like you've met the theme and look great doing it. I can't find anything to complain about.
Team Pisces:
Jensen:
Janice: Not my number one choice for Jensen, but compared to most of what you have, I think this is probably one of the better choices you have. I think the reflections work very well in your favour. The eyes are absolutely amazing, and very captivating. The face as a whole, actually is perfect. I like this quite a bit.
Morgan: Don't worry Jensen, I saw Janice's #1 choice for you and I like this shot better (Oh no! Dissension in the judging panel!). I see a story in this shot and I get a good sense of emotion here. We can't see too much of your body and what we can see is slightly marred by the reflection, but I think this is a pretty solid shot this round. Good work.
Noel: I enjoy the concept of reflection photos however what's happening in the reflection exactly? Something exciting/novel/unique happening in the reflection would have suited your facial expression more. Its good to see your facial modelling staying strong in the midst of a visually complex photo, your eyes, jaw line and overall face remain strong. The hand positioning also bring a sense of vulnerability to the photo.
Team TestosterOWNED:
Tyson:
Janice: I think this probably has the best overall modelling of our submissions, but is probably one of the least artistic in my opinion. You look really good, but I think it's safe. I think them modelling side is very captivating though. It's not the worst, but it's not the best either. It's somewhere in between.
Noel: I have to agree with janice that in terms of modeling content, this is probably the strongest shot we have this round. When it comes to the theme connection, I'm not as sold, though. I see the merit to the shot, but I feel like several other teams have you beat there this round. The white pants and the posing do lend credence to your zen approach this round, so I'm sure you should be fine with this shot.
Morgan: Appealing to Janice's sexuality aye!? Good luck I haven't got anywhere in a while. Modelling wise I don't think this photo is incredibly strong however in comparison to the modelling in the other submissions you are using your entire body and appear to be careful in your posture. This photo has seemed to miss the artistic vibe, I appreciate the connection to serenity and nature but I'm not feeling a powerful artistic vibe here. Perhaps more symbolism or a change in setting would have achieved this. The shadow on the left side of your face is stealing your facial detail, always find the light my friend.
