First off I would love to say that I am glad to be back in this competition after my first decent showing last season I hope to impress you guys more this time around. First off we have my model Hao Yun Xiang here. I feel that this is a self explanatory photo based off of the requirements we had for this basic modeling shot. Now comes my big risk for this round. My celebrity is Leonardo Dicaprio. After my Rihanna smile debacle last season I decided to play it safe but with a twist. Leo is giving you a smile but in a profile view. I love the feeling of this photo which brings joy and happiness to mind. One thin you said in the description for this type of photo is that celebrities are the faces of products and used for campaigns among other things. Well I feel that this photo can be used successfully for a perfume/cologne advertisement and make a lot of money in the process. This is a straight forward beauty shot that works very well. Janice I almost picked the photo you have for Kurt in the avatar but I decided on this one because I felt that it was much more smoother and gave it a little more photograph feel instead of painted portrait.

Welcome back to the competition!
We'll start with Hao. Now, do you remember what we told you about size guidelines? Generally, we do want something above 400x400. I know for some pictures it's not possible. Just I always find pasting the url into google and searching by images to be very useful. On the plus side, there's a lot to love in this picture. There's just the small problem that will come out of execution.
Leo, I don't see this as a very good picture for this round. Everyone knows Leo is a dreamboat with a gorgeous smile. This one doesn't work for me, and I don't think it can work without a partner with you. Even then, I don't think he'll stand out in that picture. It just comes across as very plain to me.
Finally, Kurt, smooth is a good word to describe this picture. The skin is very smooth. I love the cheekbones here, but the smoothness does come at a price of the browline. Either way, you're making blue look very sexy.

Janice I understand that the photo I submitted is a little bit small but the dimensions of the photo are around 350x500 which in fact is a little bit bigger photo than one that is 400x400. This is the original advertisement I got the photo from {Spoiler} Then I tried looking for bigger sizes to use and the only other size I found was smaller and it was this {Spoiler} In the end I did resize the photo to be a little bit bigger but I didn't want to resize it too much bigger that the photo's quality would become shit so I decided to make an executive decision to submit a slightly smaller photo while keeping the quality of the photo intact. I learned my lesson about photo quality when I got eliminated last season.

Hao - Well hello cheekbony goodness. You are giving us a simple yet effective pose and the semi-profile angle of your face is also providing us with a good look at your wonderful bone structure. I'm loving the clear angled hairstyle that you are rocking as well. As mentioned, a larger photo would have emphasised the positive aspects in this piece as well as revealing more detail.
Leonardo - This is very Titanic like, I enjoy this youthful version of Leonardo. Your a hunk of spunk, and potentially a celebrity crush that IRL Morgan had when she was younger, but I'm with Janice in that I don't think this is the best. As an observer I feel disconnected from your smile, perhaps some sexy eye contact would have drew the observer in more.
Kurt - Damn boy your eyes are hypnotic! The overall styling of this photo works well, highlighting your basic beauty elements and the glow of your eyes as well as giving us judges a glimpse into your personality. Even in the shadow of blue there are unmistakable facial features which are popping out, your chiselled jawline and sunken (yet attractive) cheeks are natural features that give you a model edge.

Hao - The size is a little small for a full-body shot and that's really the only problem I'm having here. You're clearly very fashionable, it's a nice pose, and it shows good potential. I understand that it was the largest size you were able to find, but I do have to go based off of what I see in front of me and the size is a bit of an issue.
Leo - Probably my least favorite of the three. While the smile is there, Morgan hit the nail on the head when he said we feel disconnected from it. I know I personally don't feel the emotion coming from the smile. Still, this is a nice profile of him. Just could have been a stronger shot for what we wanted this round.
Kurt - This is a pretty basic shot, but we asked for a Basic Beauty and this fits the bill without being too basic. Your eyes really pop against the darkness of the rest of the photo. There's enough difference in color in this shot that we can make out all the details of you well enough, but the colors are still similar enough that it all looks cohesive. It's a pretty good way to start with your fictional.
