Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King
Now this photo represents both a dreamlike world and a nightmarish one.
Jack is the Pumpkin King, the "demon of fright", so it only makes sense that this photo would represent his dream. Jack is smiling, and it is meant to be his scary smile. He is supposed to be looking devilish, which may be synonymous with nightmarish; the exact look that would be dreamlike for him. He is holding a pumpkin (which represents his "Pumpkin King" self) that is on fire. In the movie, the beginning song Jack makes use of fire by lighting himself on fire. It is for dramatic effect, so that he can make the Halloween festivities as scary (GOOD THING) as possible.
However I know being lit on fire would be complete and total agony, perhaps even nightmarish? Various items in the background would be nightmarish for us. For example, the graveyard is a scary place. I certainly would not enjoy being in one, especially at night. Another example would be the bats. If Batman is afraid of them, we all should be. Lastly the "mountain" in back is meant to be at the very least, a little creepy and odd because it uncurls as Jack walks down it. A "mountain" that can move as you walk underneath....kinda nightmarish.

Morgan: This is what we are looking for! This photo is represents what most people could classify as a nightmare, and yet I love that for Jack its just a typical dream of him being the pumpkin overlord. The setting is exquisite and very detailed, fantasy like. I love that we are seeing more of you (although I would love to see more, I wonder what the rest of you looks like) and your personality is shining through. The only advice I would have for future photos is to ensure that Jack is the center of attention in the photo, although he definitely stands out here I can imagine that due to his slender small physique, the environment may overcome his presence.

Janice: YES! This is amazing! This is a complete nightmare that would send chills down any child's heart. The face is great for this occasion, and I love the pose, and the way the picture is composed. This is definitely my favourite this round.
