Morgan Freeeeman reporting in here!
I thought I would create a piece regarding the most important message or advice that can ever be learned in a modelling competition and that is “Embracing the critiques and feedback of the judges.” Contestants often forget that they are receiving feedback from the judges and insight into what the judges like, dislike and expect constantly in every photoshoot! I am not just talking about the feedback you receive directly about your photo, I am talking about the judging panel. This place is a goldmine for advice and direction. Carefully read about the feedback that other models received for their photo. You can learn so much from this!
- What sorts of photos did the judges like?
- Why did they like these photos?
- Can you find any photos that encompasses these elements?
- What sort of photos did the judges NOT like?
-Why did they not like these photos?
-Can you find any photos of your mode that includes these elements? If you can AVOID USING THESE PHOTOS!
Find the judges personal taste! I, Morgan Freeman like anything that suggests sex, sexual fantasy or cleavage. Janice likes striking photos which uniquely match the photoshoot theme. She also likes inadvertent sexual appeal. Hide your privates with a sword and you will have her drooling. Toadette appears to like a clear fashion element in the photo and a direct connection to the theme.
Create threads or games that will get judges involved to find out more information about them and their tastes. Get to know the judges!
The judges are your lifeline in this game, go above and beyond to improve your chances of staying in the competition. Do your research, look at the previous cycles and study the critiques and feedback that the previous models received. Find out if there is a particular style or type of photo that has been consistently ranked high.
Question the judges after they have critiqued you. Ask them what things you can do better next time. The judges will be more than happy to give you extra information. Use their power to your advantage! The judges will notice this enthusiasm and commitment. Two qualities that are desired in an Ultimate Dream Team!
This being said, note the difference between asking the judges what you can do better next time, and complaining, being defensive and argumentative. This will not help you.
If all of this advice fails, private message me, Morgan Freeman and ask to organize a ‘private tutoring session.’ Perhaps we an organize some alternative arrangement to keep your booty firmly planted in my bed – and the competition.
Note: the last offer is fictional.
