I have given you an easy task for your second photoshoot so I can talk about how to take advantage of your team format. The beauty of this game is that you are able to use a model, celebrity or a fictional character with a limited portfolio and still do well.
CASE STUDY: TEAM JESSICA Jessica Stam is a very successful supermodel, Jessica Jung is a singer in Korean girl group, SNSD, and Jessica U is a relatively unknown character from Japanese visual novel, Umineko no Naku Koro ni (When Seagulls Cry). However, week after week, Jessica J and Jessica U constantly outshone their supermodel teammate. The assumed strongest member of their team turned out being the weakest.
Each photoshoot, the selection of your teammates reduces until you have used all three, at that time, you are free to use whoever you want again. This requires you to strategise. You will need to know your teams strengths and weaknesses, and also have knowledge of three different portfolios.
Most people’s strategies were to use their weakest first, strongest last. However, Team Jessica used Jessica S first, rather than the other two. This strategy ended up benefiting her. Jessica S’s photos were very high fashion and risque, but that did not always work for the selected photoshoot. However, they played to Jessica J and U’s strengths. Jessica U specialised in being adorable, and Jessica J had plenty of artistic photoshoots. Team Jessica was soon to be a forced to be reckoned with.
