Our final four! Ultima Cosmetics was very impressed with your advertisements, and the best photo from each category will become the ad for their new product. But let's see the pictures first.
Janice: I love the calm and queenly pose and styling Yasmin is in. We can get the sense that the wearer of this perfume will smell like an Arabian Queen. I really like the intensity in the eyes, and how relaxed the lips are, but I think it would have been better if the lips were closed personally.
Kelly's photograph is perfect for Ultima Skin Enhancer! Her skin looks flawless, not to mention her eyes, lips and hair do not take away from the skin. I would know this is an advertisement for a skincare product.
Ororo, it's great to finally see those beautiful blue eyes of yours. A standard over-the-shoulder pose works perfectly for this photo and puts your eyes front and centre. Your eyelashes look amazing, and you look very beautiful.
Morgan:
Okay the quality...joking I wont do that to you Janice. I love your accessorizing and the magical vibe that I am getting from this photo, as Janice said I get the feeling that if I use this perfume I will become an arabian princess (unlike Janice im always striving to be younger, not older). Your facial features are well defined and your neck looks lovely and poised.
Kelly your skin looks beautiful here and this is a lovely beauty shot. My eyes are drawn to your lips which look soft and supple (so kissable!). Your left eye looks like a bit of a lazy eye, but other than that this photo is gorgeous.
Whoa! Its getting Stormy in here! What I love about this is EVERYTHING. You look beautiful, mature and so different almost human like. Your skin looks great and your eyes are well defined. Your eyelashes dont stand out as much as they could for a eyelash ad but I can easily recognise what you are selling.
Rarity: Oh, how I've missed judging three models per team in a shoot!
Yasmin, you're lucky Janice is horrible at re-sizing because this is good but I'm concerned about the background. There is so much going on with the design that I find that I'm drawn to that moreso than I am to you as the model. As the model though, I love your outfit and the position of your hand with, I think that's a flower ring, so it goes great for perfume.
Kelly, there is no doubting the enhanced skin because yours is simply radiant. Your lips are just a tiny concern, since they stand out just a little, like they're trying desperately to match your white sweater. It barely takes away from your skin, in fact, I think it helps more.
Storm, I do love the color of your eyes, they're an electrifying blue to go with the energy you radiate around you. They do stand out even though they seem so small as opposed to your enlarged forehead and gray/white hair. It's decent dear.
Now to start, Team Africa.
Janice: I wish you had have told us what the name of your cologne, and what it smelled like, and which eye product it was, because I had to make it up!
I'm not entirely a fan of your cologne advertisement. Cologne advertisements usually target the sex appeal/irresistible to women factor, or the classy factor. Yours does have the classy factor, true, but for me I don't think it works for a cologne advertisement. It probably has something to do with the lighting.
Unfortunately, Hyori's eyes outshine the skin because of the eyeshadow. If the product were eyeshadow, this would be fantastic, but the skin isn't in the spotlight here. That being said, the skin does look flawless.
Mulan's eyes look nice and big, and are accentuated perfectly by her eyelashes. As a mascara advertisement, I think it works well, but I think it would work even better as a skin advertisement.
Morgan: Zhao! You are trying to steal my manly limelight and I doooo not appreciate it. That being said I think you look very cool, relaxed and calm whilst maintaining a control over your body and looking very confident. Your profile looks great, I can see this as coming across as a cologne ad.
Hyoiri - Your skin looks beautiful, but like Janice my eyes went straight to your beautifully coloured eye shadow. However when I look at what the product is, your skin is clearly representing this product well. My issue with this photo is only that fact that I had to check what you were selling first as I mistaken it to be a eyeshadow ad. This photo would fit both ads well.
Mulan- My my you have big eyes! And so defined. Your nose is cute too. I love the connection with the camera and the quirkiness of your eyebrow being lifted up. Your eyelashes look deliciously bold Mulan.
Rarity: Zhao, while this is a tremendous modelling shot, I don't personally connect it to cologne. It could be an outstanding clothing ad but I don't feel any sort of sex appeal that would normally be a part of a cologne ad. I feel as though it was both safe and risky at the same time, because I'm trying hard accept it but it's just not there yet.
Hyori, I believe this is great both for a skin enhancer and eye enhancer because believe me, your eyes, with different shades of coloring, are standing out tremendously. I'm so glad you used a neutral toned color for lip gloss as it goes well with selling the skin enhancement because it doesn't steal the spotlight. Nice work!
Mulan, I agree with Janice, because there is so little going on around your eyes, other than the size and perfectly lined mascara, I see this as more of a skin enhancement because, let's face it, your skin is flawless and you look as though you needed as minimal make up possible to make it work.
Janice: I knew Andrej would be difficult to do a cologne, but honestly, I was expecting a perfume from him (It's okay because he can pull it off). Cologne was because of Zhao. I love the modern/vintage fusion in your photograph. You look amazing in both parts of the photo, and we can tell this is a classy fragrance and it will have boys following you (Scary!)
Emma's photo is perfect for a skin product, it's cute, young and fresh. Her skin does have a few freckles, but I think that adds to the charm of the photo. I think you did a good job with this photo too!
And Link! Link is very handsome in this photo, you can tell his male here, but still has a bit of androgyny too which makes it more interested. It's very interesting that you've gone for a silver eyeliner, it's a risk, but it definitely has worked in your favour here.
All three photos are great!
Morgan:
I'm impressed with what you have produced this week.
Andrej looks wonderfully feminine and I dont mind seeing him pull off a a perfume rather than a cologne because he does it so well. What I love about this photo is that its got such a story behind it as well as selling the product. You look confident, and self-satisfied like you have overcome your alter ego in the background. This is great!
Emma looks cute, pixie like, young and very innocent. Your skin looks lovely and the freckles give you a natural look.
Link is divine! I love the edginess and the uniqueness of the silver/grey eyeliner. Your eyes look great, and your face has a great strength and well defined structures to it in this. You just look handsome! This is a great ad for silver eyeliner.
Rarity: Andrej, I am absolutely blown away that you went perfume instead of cologne, added examples to prove your point and really went the extra mile to sell this. And sell it you did. I love black and white shots, and when they show artistic potential, as this does, that is even better. I can see this clearly as a No. 5 advertisement. Well done!
Emma, I do love that little dimple coming from the crooked smile. It's adorable. For a skin enhancer though, I can see a fair amount of freckles that I think could have been covered up more, we're not going for a natural look, we're going for an enhanced look. So this is just alright for me.
Link, Easily my favorite of the three photos, you certainly know how to photograph for the occasion. It's wild because even though your bangs are slightly covering one eye and threatening to go for the second, your eyes stand out more than anything else and it's as though your hair is just a mere shadow when compared to the brilliance your eyes give off. Amazing!
Janice: Well you certainly made editing easier with this one! Haha!
Jessica S, I love the sexiness in this photo, it tells us Express is a scent that will give a girl sex appeal and confidence, and that men will find her irresistible! I love the curves you're making as well!
Jessica J, you are cute, and this could definitely sell to the Asian market. I think the bangs actually shape your face and adds to the cuteness factor. Girls will want to buy this because they want to be cute like you.
Jessica U, I made use of that bright light by placing the product over it. Now the product will stand out! Did you plan this? Haha.
Rarity does bring a point that we can only see the product on one eye, but the eye it is on, it looks amazing. I think this could definitely work as a real like make up advertisement.
Morgan: Jessica 1! I can certainly relate to those men in your photo, they must be sweating in their pants over your sexy appeal and that delicious scent that you must be giving off. This is a wonderful, flirty, fun and PINK perfume ad. What I also love about this is your model features, your face looks very strong here.
Jessica 2! Now aint you just an adorable little thing, I love the styling of this photo and the way you look so innocent and young. Your skin looks smooth and perfectly clear. I dont know why, but your teeth are bothering me a bit. It just looks like too much teeth, like false teeth. But besides that this is adorable.
Jessica 3! As the other judges have mentioned, the over the shoulder pose is cute but unfortunately it has resulted in one of your eyes not showing off the product as well as possible. The eye closest to the camera is showing off the product well however. I love the cute styling and your babydoll like hair here.
Rarity: Jessica 1.0, I love this! It's just enough sexual tension and the men are all over you, smelling you up and down with their eyes closed like ravenous animals and you are so fierce and feisty and steal the spotlight completely. Brilliant job!
Jessica 2.0, what can I say? You're certainly one of the most adorable models I've ever seen and I love your head tilted slightly to the side. Your skin is absolutely beautiful. However, I'm not thrilled with your bangs covering up your entire forehead, including your eyebrows. Did you not apply the enhancement cream all the way? I jest, but no, really, it does take away from the photo. As a whole though, it's good.
Jessica 3.0, Your eyes are certainly standing out, or what I can see of them. I would have liked a more face forward shot so that both eyes would be the most prominent. The make up around your eyes is fantastic, but... You need to watch out for the bright lighting happening in the bottom right, it's very distracting. Overall, not bad.
