Welcome teams! Love is a beautiful thing. It can be familiar or in love. Or you could be obsessed. Let's see how you all went.
Janice: I was hoping to see a picture of you and T'Challa here, Storm. The faces in this picture are flawless. It would even work if it were a beauty shot, just focused around your faces with your hands together. It's a really beautiful photograph, but I think it could have benefited from cropping below around the navel. The lower half is not as strong as the upper half.
Morgan: I love the connection here between you and your man, and your presence and strong stature still makes you the center of attention here. As Janice mentioned your upper half is your strongest aspect with your neck looking deliciously long, and your profile looks great here. I wish your male friend was paying more attention to you to bring some more intimacy, but this does still look like a love photo but a security, dependency and comfort love.
Rarity: Even though you're not looking at each other and you look extremely serious, I feel the connection of a long time couple. Having your strong man there, even if it is completely unnecessary with your powers. It also makes me giggle a little at how much clothing he has and how little you do. Impatient much? Ahaha! Overall, good job.
Janice: What a cute family portrait! A little bit overboard on the blush perhaps, but look at that how your face radiates with your family. It's a very literal take on this theme, and it does lack an element of modelling, but it's a very sweet picture we are seeing here.
Morgan: Cute! Family love, i like it. This is a sickeningly sweet family photo and you all look gorgeous. Your baby is cute and I love the love connection between you all. You look beautiful as always but the modelling here is lacking, however combining modelling and love in a family photo is a hard task to master. I always model in my family photos and then get accused of 'taking the spotlight' and then the photo results in everyone looking at me with evil eyes whilst I'm pulling a star pose.
Rarity: Isn't this just precious! And large! You're all glowing pink with a little white shine. It's obvious how much you truly care about one another. We have the father who looks as though he could protect the whole family, but we know what kind of damage Miss Mulan can do in a pinch. I think it just adorable, good work!
Janice: Hello lusty she-man. Really, your face is amazingly androgynous! I can't tell whether you're a male or female! Your face here is absolutely fierce, and your companions look crazy in love with you. However, I'm not exactly seeing the emotion of love coming from you. You look a bit proud that you're so hot that all the guys (See #98 in FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2011) and girls wants you. Still, that face is amazing, if not disjointed from the theme.
Andrej: Yeah, I had a feeling my description wasn't going to be enough to explain where I'm coming from with this. I definitely am not going for "lusty" here. My idea behind this was how love gives you strength. I didn't want to look all hot and bothered, or even tender and vulnerable. I wanted to show how love and acceptance can make you feel empowered!
Morgan: Phewww! I like what you said in that above comment and I wish you would have elaborated on your description more because now I can totally see where you are coming from in terms of the love I am seeing here. You look so empowered, fulfilled and strong. Your gaze is absolutely mesmerizing and the androgynous look you have going on is fantastic. I would have liked to see you maybe interacting with the others in the photo more as they seem to have all limbs on you so it comes across as kind of a groupie shot with you being the main man/girl but I still love the concept and this is a strong photo.
Rarity: I absolutely love and adore where you were going with this. I feel the love from the people around you and your strength is empowering. I would have liked to see more of a connection from you as the model though, even though I know what you are going for, it would have been nice. But I am moved, so thank you and well done!
Morgan: This is super sweet and cute. You two look like you have a strong love connection, and I love the eye gazing and the beautiful setting. You look so young and innocent here and it seems to be a recurrent theme, I want to see a grown up, edgy side to you. I like how even though you are kneeling you still look to be quite tall, equal height to your lover.
Janice: Look at that connection between you and Kanon! Look how intense and devoted that stare is in your eyes, and how he is caressing your head. As Morgan did state, we would love to see an edgy side of you, Jessica, however, I understand how difficult it is to find edgy art for a cute character. I love your kimono, and as Morgan said, even though you are kneeling, you look very tall.
Rarity: I love your backdrop and the kimono color you're wearing. Your man is understandably smitten with you and wants that true love kiss... SO MOVE YOUR HANDS ALREADY! You look like you so want him too, but your hands, placed where they are, make me believe you are not ready as well. It's completely frustrating! The connection is there though so good job.
Janice: I really love the connection between the two of you here! It's a very good angle for your face here, and a bad one for hers, so all the better for you! Ha! I'm loving your outfit, however, the way your arm is position, it looks amputated. If it were just rotated a bit more to the ground, this photo would have been perfect.
Rarity: I love profile shots, and bonus! Two in one photo! There is definitely a connection here. I'm not sure how to place your expression though. It looks like she just asked you a really difficult question and you're thinking very hard about the best way to answer or are confused by it so you're going to give yourself time by leaning in and giving her a big smooch, and being Zac Efron, that might just do the trick. Nice work!
Morgan: I love the intimacy and connection going on here, it is obvious there is some sort of chemistry between you two. Your face is definitely your strongest modelling point here with your facial features looking well defined in this profile shot. However more modelling in your body would be good to see and as Janice mentioned be careful of the positioning of your limbs so they dont come across as amputated.
Janice: While I do like the expression you are giving us, it's a little devious, but at the same time, it doesn't really connect to me as "love", but rather "lust". I think you may have been taking one too many pointers from Poison Ivy! haha!
Morgan: Whoa that look on your face tells us that you sure are cooking up one big plan to keep this boy as your own. You have some strong emotion here, but unfortunately this is only the real modelling that we can judge you on since your body is not visible here. I like the passion between you two, but as Janice mentioned it looks more like lust than love.
Rarity: Your explanation says it all. She is absolutely plotting how best to keep the man she's obsessed over and sweetie, with those dark curly locks of his, I would be doing the same thing. I do agree with Janice though, I see more lust, than love, and while similar in some ways, they are also very different. But I like this and I think you did a fine job.
Cintia: Wait wait wait, Janice! Did I say it was love? No I said it was obsession. That was part of the challenge. Obsession is different than love.
Wasn't Poison Ivy all about Obsession??!!!!?
And Morgan since when has modeling been just about the whole body? Beauty shots don't count as modeling? Didn't you judge the celeb beauty shots for the reward?
Janice: I'm sorry my critique wasn't very clear. I do definitely see the angle of your idea, but for me, it doesn't say "obsessed" to be. It does say lust, it is sort of a disconnect from love or obsession, there's too much of a malicious intent coming from this photo, and while I see the idea, I don't think it was executed well. It's looking more like "I'll kill you on your sleep!" than "I'll destroy anyone who comes close to you."
Morgan: Your body could have been positioned a lot better so your man wasnt blocking the parts of your body that would have otherwise been visible, perhaps from a side angle. As I said your emotion is strong but your face doesn't look too appealing in terms of modelling, your eyes look a little sunken so some body modelling could have given improved the modelling aspect overall.
Certainly the entire body is not necessary for a modelling photoshoot, e.g., beauty shots as you mentioned. However I think it could have been a good contributor to your overall photo, to have some body modelling helping to show the angle you were trying to come at with your love idea.
I did see where you were coming from, but I dont think the photo showed it strongly enough. Hence my comments regarding wanting to see some body modelling, and the fact that it looked lustful more than love/obsession. I am sorry also if my critique was unclear, its something I will try and be more accurate about in the future.
Cintia: Bull
You did not say my face was not appealing you said the expression had strong emotion. So now you are changing your critique.
Whoa that look on your face tells us that you sure are cooking up one big plan to keep this boy as your own. You have some strong emotion here,
From that you knew what I was going for with my idea.
I just think it is bull crap that you judges say I didnt show love when the challenge said we could show obession and you all got that but you have to put a BUT in there. There is no but I filled the criteria
Janice, you said it was like Poison Ivy which is all about obsession so you did not agree with her or she had no clue what she was talking about
Janice: I was referring to Ivy's malicious intention. Ivy's obsession is herbology and biology, and she uses that for malicious intention. The Poison Ivy reference was more to be taken in a light-hearted manner. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
