Badass Blondes - Air
Janice: This shot, in my opinion, is close to perfection. I think it captures the essence with Air and Wind without the need for an explanation. The fashion, surprisingly, is the only thing letting this down, and it comes to personal taste. You look really fat in that dress.
Emma: I love this photo. I love how it definitely looks airy. The dress is ugly but I disagree that you look fat only because of the belt. Very nice photo.
Hel:I'm going to have to echo the other judges. I absolutely love this for the theme this round, but the dress isn't the most flattering. I agree with Emma that the belt keeps you from looking fat this round, but the rest of the dress, while I love the idea of it, isn't the best executed dress I've seen. Still, that's the only negative I have for you this week.
Ebony Souls - Water
Janice: Water is apparent, and everything looks great. I do think the blue is a bit overpowering though. The main problem I have is really the art style - It comes off more on the ameteurish-side, meaning I'd have to take some points of in execution. Otherwise, not bad.
Emma: I agree, the blue overpowers a lot. Really distracting. And the photo just seems plain to me. I'd have to look at the rest of your portfolio but in comparison to last round, huge let down.
Hel: The water connection is apparent and the posing is nice, but I'm not loving your face. While I do think your face was drawn well (especially compared to other aspects of the photo), it's the expression that's a bit of a problem for me. We've also seen shots with a stronger art style coming from you. Overall, there is more to like than dislike in this photo.
International Beauties 2.0 - Earth
Janice: You did a great job on the editing, it looks almost seamless. Yes, I see wood more than Earth, but I think the decision to change the colour of the dress to yellow was an extremely good choice. Fashion, execution, all good.A good week for you.
Emma: This is beautiful. I was worried after the photo last round, thought maybe you might not have been cut out for modeling games but this is fantastic. The only weird thing, and it is obvious from angle, but your other boob looks naked which doesn't seem possible with the outfit. But otherwise, good job
Hel: You did a great job with the recoloring. Had it not been pointed out, I probably wouldn't have noticed (I definitely see in certain areas of it now, though). Like Janice said, the recoloring of the dress was very smart since it helps you meet the element you've chosen. And while it may be closer to wood than earth, I think the overall color scheme helps you out this round. You have some nice posing going on, too.
.
International Studs 2.0 - Fire
Janice: Of your choices, definitely the better one. I wish I could see more of the SeeD uniform, but it's a great change, and perfect for a militarised fire element. Fire is definitely what I see here. I think you aced it.
Emma: Ohhhhh I like this. I love the modeling in the photo and Squall's face. Beautifully done!
Hel: Your element is very well represented. The change of outfit is fantastic to see since we don't get that often with fictional characters (especially male ones). The posing is nice. The art style is great. Wonderful job.
Team Kamikaze - Aether
Janice: There's a fine line between high-fashion poses and completely disfigured, and unfortunately, I think that arm of yours crosses the line into disfigured. It looks so stiff, especially compared to how the rest of you is free and flowing, drifting off into nothing. It fits the theme to the tee, but that arm, it could probably work at a different angle...
Emma: Wow, omg this photo is great. I can't even think of anything else to say about this. Fantastic work!
Hel: I'm not 100% sold on your posing as your arm looks unnaturally contorted, but the rest of the strange posing works perfectly because it fit the vibe of the photo. I think you took one of the more difficult elements to portray and you pretty much nailed it. Great work.
Lionheart - Metal
Janice: This is not what I meant by stop relying on that body. You can still be nude, for example, but as long as the selling point isn't your body, then you're not relying on it. Does that make sense? Anyway, beauty shots are always risky, and they need to be perfect. This one is not my favourite. The connection to your element is apparent, but I think it suffers in a few other categories.
Emma: I think this photo is amazing!!! It's great. I don't know what Janice is smoking this round but dayum great photo.
Hel: It's definitely a memorable photo and your element is well-displayed. I also appreciate that you're taking a great risk this round. Overall, I like it, but probably not as much as Emma. I'd say I'm probably between her and Janice in terms of my feelings about it. While I think this alone is a great shot, I would like to have seen more of you. I get the feeling that your body in this shoot could be something really special, too.
CBF Prayers - Water
Janice: I think this is just a good picture that just so happens to have water in it. I'm not really seeing any connection to water. I'm getting a more grounded, Earthy feeling from this picture than a mysterious water feeling. And it is hard to see you, but what I see does look good.
Emma: Except that the photo is dark, this photo is really gorgeous and works well.
Hel: I love the level of detail in this shot. It's not the most connected to water I've seen, but I like that you took it a different route than just being in a lake or in front of an ocean. In modeling games, that tends to be the route most often taken with water. I'm not sold on the posing of the shot since it doesn't seem like the most model-like photo. Overall though, I'm liking this.
Sugar & Spice - Wood
Janice: I appreciate the change in outfit style. I think you did a decent job. I don't think it's the best this week, but it's decent. I think I'd've preferred with more greenery and less snow. I'll give you props for being slightly unexpected, as always.
Emma: I love the outfit style in this photo. So nice and cute and soft. The whole photo is so soft which is a huge 180 from last round. Love that alone. This is good but not great. Just because I'm not a fan of the eyes and pointy chin. Otherwise, good job.
Hel: The outfit is probably my favorite part of the shot. I didn't need to see any greenery in this shot since we see plenty of wood. However, I wish the puddle of water wasn't down below cause that and the snow muddies up the focus of the theme a bit. I'm also not 100% sold on the face, either. It's still a very beautiful shot and a nice way to diversify your portfolio cause it's a definite change from your last photo.
