Welcome back! And happy birthday too me. This theme was admittedly a difficult theme to work with, and many of you struggled. The important thing in this shoot was to be creative.
Janice: A fantastical depiction of a party, and one that looks like a joy to be at. It's illustrated beautifully, and is vivid and vibrant. A little bit of cropping would've worked well here. Make it a square, and frame it around you so you're the centre of attention with everything else framing you. As it is, there's a lot going on. And we're always judging on modelling content, and in this case, fashion content was a part. But I know you'll have a 5 from me in at least one category.
Morgan: Well there is no doubt about whats happening here, a very food and company filled party - my favourite kind (just missing the strippers). Your presence in the photo however is quite small, as is the amount of space you take up in this photo. It's hard to judge you on your modelling here and thats the aim of this competition.
Hel: I know! We should bake cookies!
Not this again... Shut up with the damn cookies!
Oh, but there are so many delicious treats there. This looks like my favorite kind of party.
I'm with Morgan. WHERE ARE THE STRIPPERS?!
Shush, we're supposed to be judging the photo. You've definitely nailed the theme. The art stye is beautiful and a bit different than I was expecting to see since it makes you look even younger than you are. I agree with Janice that you could have done well with some cropping. I don't always feel like the model needs to be centered, but in this case, with so much going on, I think it could have helped you be more centered. I don't feel like the modeling content is as high as it could be, but the shot definitely tells a story.
Janice: I relate to this picture on a lot of levels, because this is me at parties. Sitting by myself, judging everyone and looking fabulous. You look like you really don't want to be there, and I appreciate that. You look fabulous, I think you're going to score highly from me this round.
Morgan: It looks as if you have escaped the party and are chillig out in one of the band preparation rooms, all that is missing in this movie scene is for a hot man to walk in and take care of you in this setting - oh that's my cue! You look gorgeous and fashion wise you are killing it in this photo. If only your leg wasn't cropped off this would be a fantastic shot!
Hel: I may be alone in this, but I don't like this shot in terms of theme connection. While you're styled for a party, I don't get the feeling that you're anywhere near one from your photo. That said, I absolutely love the way you're styled. I love your posing. And I love the photo overall. You're probably getting a high score from me, except in the theme category.
Janice: I like the outfit, and the concept. I know this is your standard outfit, but it does look like a clubbing outfit. However, the illustration looks very ameteurish, and not very model-like. Your editing skills were seemless, if you didn't tell us, I wouldn't've known, and I appreciate the effort that went into this though.
GIMP is a program that would probably work just as well. GIMP is a free program, and works similar to photoshop, but not exactly the same.
Your problem was the main picture. Being a Japanese character, your best results would come from pixiv. レオーネ アカメが斬る is some keywords you should consider with Leone.
Morgan: I also wouldn't have known that this were a edited picture from yourself if you hadn't have told us, your effort once again is being noticed! I like the attitude in your modelling, you look like you are giving us a "I'm too cool for this" pose, but I'm not loving the face. It's not very flattering.
Hel: You definitely did a great job editing this photo. You've done a great job meeting the criteria of the shoot as this definitely looks like a fun party. I'm not a huge fan of the art style as it lacks a professional/sharp quality to it. I'm also not completely sold on your pose. However, your fashion sense works well in the photo. Kind of a mixed week this round, in the end.
Janice: This is very reminiscent of a frat party, chugging down the beer in a most unsightly manner. It's not the most flattering picture, and you're not looking even model pretty. You've got the theme down, but we're also judging on fashion this round: Will what you have on fulfil the quota?
Morgan: The biggest thing that is jumping out to me in this photo is the quality - the quality is not good at all. Perhaps its trying to give us the perception of wearing beer goggles, but its making your face look very grainy. The alcohol thats spilling onto your chest makes you look slimy and dirty. Theres a theme connection sure but I fear its been at the price of removing your modelling components.
Hel: I'm in the minority with the judges this round, it seems. I like this shot. Yeah, there is a bit of an issue with the quality of the image, but I feel like it fits the theme of the week, I like your styling, and I don't see how being beer-soaked is detrimental this week when you're expressing yourself at a party. The only parts of the photo I don't like are the quality...
AND THAT UGLY-ASS EARRING! I WANNA RIP IT OUT!!!
Janice: Hello Sailor Zelda, together with Tuxedo Link again, I see (No really, they're cosplaying Serenity and Endymion. I was literally just watching the first season of Sailor Moon.) I'm sure Morgan would appreciate that butt of yours, but my eyes are drawn towards Link. It's a nice picture, but the connection to the party theme is a bit strenuous. I can sort of a see a Cinderella-esque ball, but I just can't get the story of Serenity and Endymion out of my head.
Morgan: THAT BUTT! I appreciate you going commando for this shoot, it is doing wonders for myself. Although thats where my eyes initially travel to, after looking at that scrumptous butt of yours I then look to Link as well. The rest of your body and your face angles away from the camera instead of towards it, don't go hiding behind that man of yours!
Hel: I do think you old your photo well and while it's nice the type of party I had in mind, it's still a type of party and fits the theme for the round. Unfortunately, I feel Link outshines you a bit here and it's probably due to body language. You are kind of hiding in him while he's the strong presence in the photo. That said, the art style is beautiful, your fashion is great, and it's just an overall pretty photo. I don't care that you're cosplaying as other characters since this is still a shot of Zelda.
Janice: I think this is fantastic, and I love the route you took for this theme. Fashion, modelling, execution are all top quality. It looks like a fun time was had by all. I think this is a perfect 20 from me.
Morgan: Perfection, I love the concept (obviously) I love the way you look like you are revealing in your surrounding, soaking up all of those hot sexual vibes and your body is rocking here!
Hel: Now this is my kind of party!
You're probably just judging horny again this round. Gaga, I don't think we could ever accuse you of being boring. This is such a fantastic shot. The vibe of the shot is great. The fashion is great. Just an overall great shot. I may not like your lips, but it's part of the interesting set-up of the shoot.
Janice: Easy there, Mrs Smith. I can sort of seeing this as being at a museum function, probably honouring some of the donations Lara has made. You look elegant, and I love the dress. You're modelling it fine too. But it's just a little bit plain and boring for me. The black-on-black isn't doing any favours for that.
Morgan: Some more interaction with the 'party' scene in this photo and some more modelling in the face would have made this a top photo because you have a strong fashion element, you are staying true to your character with the accessories you have on and your body is looking amazing! Very feminine and yet strong as well!
Hel: I'm having to agree a lot with Morgan on this photo. A little more interaction with the party and some small changes to your face would have made this photo even strong. I absolutely love your black dress and think you come across very strong in the photo.
Janice: The connection to the theme is strenuous at best, but you do have a lot of good things going on this shoot - It's a good photos, but terrible for this theme. Modelling and fashion are on point though. However, remember, theme connection is important, and the execution element ties into theme connection, because it also takes into account how well the theme was executed.
Morgan: This is the first I have heard of a solo party in the rain outside, can you really call a one man show a party? Apart from my presence which is always a party. I appreciate the body modelling here but the rain and the quality of the picture has made your face look very old and un-Channing like.
Hel: I'm having a hard time believing the connection to the theme this round despite your attempts to sell it. That said, your posing is great and you have great fashion. It's a strong photo on it's own, but I think it's going to suffer a bit this round because we have to take theme connection into account (it's one of the 4 categories we score each round).
Janice: Gee, Justin, your block parties really must suck, because there are no guests - With that, I am not entirely seeing how it connects to our theme. My critiques echo previous critique to your other team.
Morgan: I can see a party vibe in this photo because you have made convincing eye contact with some mysterious guest who is off camera and you seem genuinely into the music you are creating. But when it comes down to it this is a luckluster of a photo, I've seen many photos of Justin by himself with a smile or a prop - we will need more than this in a modelling competition.
Hel: Yeah, the connection to the theme is a bit weak, but better than some other connections there have been this round. I do think it's feasible that you're at a block party and happened to have been shot from an angle where we'd see only you, but it's high improbable. There is some nice fashion going on in the shot and it's a decent pose, but I think you've previously shown us you can do better.
Janice: Short, sweet, and straight forward. That's how I'd describe your picture. I think you've really captured the theme this round, and I love that dress. However, your body is positioned a little awkwardly, especially that right hand of yours. Don't mind the face at all, in fact, I think it only ads to the overall picture... I don't like how over exposed this looks though. I would have put it in photoshop, and brought the brightness and contrast down a little bit.
Morgan: Theme connection nailed! This is your party! I would have liked to see a pose that wouldn't be so tacky but it works here. The lighting hasn't done your skin any favors though.
Hel: Theme connection: check. Great fashion: check. Nice points of interest: check. First call-out: I think it damn well could wind up with a check this round, as well.
