Not sure what the difference between Artistic Merit and Theme Connection is this round since feel the Theme was the Artistic Merit.

Oh wait. I remembered my thoughts on said subject.
Theme connection here denotes whether or not it could be considered artistic.
Artistic merit denotes how artistic/eye catching, etc you believe it to be.
