I had to have a real close look at this picture to make sure those were not nipples. Luckily, they appear to be nipple shields of some sort, so I'll let that pass. For me, your description is really what makes this picture work for me. Without it, I may have been rather confused and not made the connection of fire meaning transformation. I really like how frightened she looks here to, because often fire is uncontrollable. It works well for me.

Great description, I can now see a new element of unpredictability in your shot as well as noticing other intricate details in the photo that connect to the theme. As Janice mentioned, your facial expression is a winner you look scared and yet transfixed on the intense things happening around you. I also enjoy the fact that YOU appear to be the fire, and the thought of your inherent unpredictability is causing chaos around you. A powerful and intriguing photo. Also just as a side note, Morgan doesn't mind a 'nip-slip' every now and then. If one of those nipple shields were to fall off, everything would be just okay.

I loved the initial wow factor of the shot and we get great emotion from you, so this really comes down to whether you've met the theme well enough or not. The description really makes this shot since you didn't take the literal route. We get all of what you've said about the Wiccan beliefs in fire and transformation. You've met the theme well with a stunning shot, so I have nothing negative to say here.

Psychopomps are deities or spirits in many religions whose responsibility is to escort newly deceased souls to the afterlife. Their role is not to judge the deceased, but simply provide safe passage. Fear of death is universal and worshiping the existence of these deities offers comfort in confirming that there is existence after the death of the body, and that a compassionate being will be waiting to offer their assistance through the transition. Different cultures portray psychopomps differently (Hermes, Anubis, angels) but they all play the same essential role. But if you want a specific deity, then I'll go with the female Mexican saint, Santa Muerte.

I am familiar with the concept of the psychopomps, but the specific example "Santa Muerte" isn't really that apparent. The face is very forelorn, perhaps you're a new psychopomp, and also afraid like he is. I like the fashion here, love the face. But on the negative, I think your explanation, though explaining thoroughly on what a psychopomp is really missing how you think it relates to a psychopomp. More specifically, why you thought "Santa Muerte".

We have a saying back in NC for a face like this: "looks like she just smelled shit." That said, I have to disagree with Janice about your description. I feel you did a great job tying your shot to your chosen deity. There's definitely a sense of emotion in this shot and I think it ties well with the story you've painted for us. That said, I'm not thrilled with all of the visual aspects of the photo. I already mentioned the face (which I don't care for here), but also the body language, while story appropriate, isn't the strongest posing or staging for a modeling competition. Still, theme was well-done for me.

I enjoy these types of photoshoots, I get little lessons myself on the different gods/goddesses that exist in various cultures. A very well suited description to your photo, I see a story and I see emotion. I enjoy the intimacy that is existing between you and the deceased, you look like a natural caregiver. The facial expression is a bit off however as you are taking on a non human form I enjoy the darkness and intensity in your facial expression. I would have liked to see more of a full body shot to witness your full power and stature.

So I'll be honest... this is probably my least favorite picture I've submitted in all three seasons I've played. I was really banking on a more "vanilla" theme after the last two rounds, but oh well, shit happens. The unpredictability of this game is what makes it so fun and addictive. And on the plus side, I once again get to stay with my “Coven” theme, which soothes my OCD. So while I think the modelling component is definitely lacking, I think you could argue that the fashion is quite strong. Almost looks like she’s on a runway from hell. And while I HATE the face and HATE all the special effects, I really think they serve to nail the theme. As cartoony as it is, this picture truly looks like it’s right out of a nightmare.

And even though that beast looks nothing like the beautiful Mila Kunis, I assure you it is her.

Sorry for not being a huge help towards you. This image is a type of sexy that appeals to both women and men, though probably leaning more towards men's interests. However, it is sensual as opposed to raunchy. Classy as opposed to trashy. Overall, I think this fits the brief of women's magazine relatively well. I can see this being a part of a bigger spread in both styles...

With these shots, I'm looking at them and determining whether I think they're Men's or Women's Magazine before I look to see which style of magazine you chose. I'm happy to say that I was able to correctly identify this shot as a Women's Magazine shot before I checked. You have a provocative pose and styling, but not overly done. There's still a good level of taste to the shot. I agree with Janice that this would be appealing in both types of magazines, but I think it fits much stronger with the Women's Magazine style and it's a good shot.

This photo surprisingly tells a story to me, I think a headline such as "Kunis caught in the act with lover's father!" or "Kunis, sick and yet still sexy in bed" would be fitting. I'm on the fence on whether I think this would be suited for mens or womens magazine. The grabbing at your breast, the somewhat shocked look on your face appeals to the mens section and the soft posing appeals to females. I think there could have been a better connection so the link was more solid.

Too cool for school.
Those that suffer from excess pride falsely believe that they are more important than others and that the world revolves around them. And there’s very few kinds of people more prideful in this world than the modern teenager. So for this round, Daphne channeled her inner Ja’mie King. Everything about this picture oozes with pride. The preppy clothing. The cocky facial expression. The blatant lack of respect with the foot up on the school chair. She knows she’s superior and she’s not afraid to hide it.

I thought this was sloth at first glance, but let me look at what you had to say...
The styling does say pride, but I think the entire feel of this picture says sloth in lazy student here. I think if Daphne were standing up, with a bit more people around her fawning over hair, it'd be stronger, or even her preening and being vain, that might help the theme connection. However, you've got some amazing fashion flair here, and you look long and luscious.
